Full 'Tha Fae' Website coming SOON!
The Fae are supernatural beings who are known for their
grace and beauty.
In folklore, fairies may be kindly or malicious.
These ladies; Margie, Nicci, Amy, and Keyna,
are the most michevious of the bunch.
They come from the land of Fraser Valley Belly Dance
under the instruction
of Sabeya of Confidance studio.

Nicci
Nicci began belly dancing in 2007. Nicci is trained in Egyptian style by Sabeya of Confidance
studio in Port Coquitlam. Nicci has also taken classes in Tribal Fusion with Martina of Bellyfringe Belly Dance.
Ariellah, Kim Pechet, Jim Boz, and Cera are four very influential teachers so far in Nicci's dance career and
she looks forward to learning more from all her teachers and others in order to expand her knowledge of belly dance.

Amy
Amy has taken classes in many types of dance at Confidance studio, yet belly dance quickly became her favorite. The
newest member of Tha Fae, Amy has fit into the fray with ease. Amy is trained in Egyptian Cabaret, yet loves to blend
styles into the funky E-Fusion pieces that Tha Fae are quickly becoming famous for.
"We are under the umbrella of Egyptian,
but we love to dance in the rain."

Margie
Known to many as Margilicious for her delightful movements and infectious personality, Margie has
been lighting up rooms since 2001. She begun her dance career with the troupe Raks Almeh, yet switched to taking
lessons with Sabeya in Abbotsford in order to develop a solid technical background in Egyptian Cabaret. Margie is exceptionally
creative as a choreographer and as the costume designer for her company La Mesmer.

Keyna
Keyna is the creator and director of Fraser Valley Belly Dance, created in an attempt to build a
tighter community of belly dancers in the Fraser Valley and to bring teachers to the area for workshops. Keyna began
dancing in 2001 with Raks Almeh where she met Margie, and then transfered to Sabeya of Confidance Studio to delve into technical
training. Since then Keyna has taken workshops and classes with dozens of instructors and looks forward to her archaeology
career in the Near East which will open her up to other teachers and styles of belly dance. In her lack of spare time,
Keyna designs and creates belly dance costumes for her company Aphid Kouture.
We all study Egyptian belly dance first and foremost.
However, we take classes and workshops in other styles which peak our interest. We believe that makes us well rounded dancers.
We often fuse styles together, but we do so in a way that is respectful and honouring of the styles that are being fused.
We enjoy being creative with our art and enjoy being unpredictable and non-repetative. We want to give you a show that you
won't get anywhere else or forget anytime soon.
Tha Fae perform at community events, fundraisers, shows,
and other multi-performer venues. Tha Fae can also be hired for private parties such as birthdays or anniversaries,
we can also be booked for ladies nights, fun stagettes, or sweet-teenage birthdays.
