Jewels of the Nile - June 14, 2008
A wonderful
evening of Bellydance in Fort Langley. The weather was nice, the food was delicious (esp. the artichoke dip - yum!),
and the dancers were all FABULOUS!! What an amazing night. There are so many pictures that we decided to add a page just for
them. Many thanks to Keyna's Mom for taking lots of pics from her front row seat. See the pictures...
Warning - pictures may take a minute to load.

May Day Celebration - May 10
Our
local beauties followed their beautiful teacher Sabeya (www.confidance.com) out to PoCo and Port Moody to brave the cool wind and pending showers in order to celebrate May Day. The first performance
was outside; the dancers were under cover but the audience was not as lucky. Fortunately, the rain held off until the dancing
was all done for them. Next they travelled to the Port Moody R.C.Legion to entertain the patrons.
Photos are from before
the first performance while they all shimmied just to keep warm, and later while preparing in the back room of the Legion.
Performance pics are from the Legion. All the dancers performed marvelously! I was so proud to be their 'official media
representative' (aka the chick taking video and photos).

Spirit of the Tribz Show and workshop weekend! -
April 5 & 6, 2008
Starring Sharon Moore and Genevieve Du Puy of Infusion Tribal
Bellydance
Hosted by Raks Almeh
Raks Almeh did it again, pulling off a great
weekend of dance, food, and friendship.
Sharon and Genevieve are two of the most beautiful ladies and oh so very talented.
Their grace and presence of movement was amazing to watch and wonderful to learn. I can't wait for next year...
MEDA Grand Bazaar - March 29 & 30, 2008
The Cactus Flowers were amazing with their Asian Fusion Performance. Those nails are
dangerous!!
Our sparkly group of Sabeya's students rocked their performance to Tabi Tabi.
A wonderful day of
shopping, talking, shopping, dancing, eating... oh, and shopping!!
If anyone has more pics of this event relating
to the FV dancers, please pass 'em on to us. Thanks.
